What Is the Home and School Association (HASA)
The Home and School Association is organized for the purpose of supporting the education of children at School 5 by fostering relationships among the school, parents and teachers.
Our objectives are as follows:
- To develop closer connections between school and home by encouraging parent involvement.
- To enhance the educational experience by supporting academic and enrichment activities
- To improve the environment at our school by providing volunteer and financial support.
Some ways that HASA has achieved these objectives are:
- We have had many events where volunteers were needed. For example, book fair, fall carnival, class parents, field day and so many more.
- HASA has provided funds for field trips and assemblies
- HASA has provided funds to redo our library, have murals painted on our walls, fans in our gymnasium and most recently upgraded cabinets and storage in our music/lunch room.
The Home and School Association would not be able to function without the assistance from our amazing staff and families at School 5.
